COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

  • You must fill out our COVID-19 screening either on paper or online before coming in for your appointment.

If you are feeling sick or have a fever, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

If you or anyone in your home has been exposed directly to COVID-19 you MUST reschedule.

If you have traveled out of state or the country within the past 14 days you must notify the salon prior to your appointment, so we can decide if it’s safe for you to come into the salon. 

  • Please wait in your car upon arrival. You will receive a text message from our check-in system to let your stylist know you are at the salon. You must check-in via text so that we know when you arrive. When your stylist is ready for you, they will come get you and bring you into the salon.

  • You will have your temperature taken upon arrival. If temperature read is over 100° you will be asked to reschedule your appointment to a later date.

  • We also ask that you sanitize your hands upon entry and only bring in your phone, keys, whatever you need to pay. No bags, large purses, or unnecessary items.

  • Masks must be worn in the salon. We can offer you a disposable mask if you are receiving a color service so that you can throw away if color gets on it.

  • Due to our operating at limited capacity and increased disinfecting procedures, it is very important to be on time for your appointment. 

  • Please come to your appointment alone, no guests will be permitted to enter the salon.

COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION:

By voluntarily choosing to enter our salon, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the following:

 

“social distancing” must be practiced and face coverings worn at all times to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19.  Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, Modern Tekniques has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Though the chances are minimal, Modern Tekniques cannot guarantee that its clients, staff, or others who choose to enter the salon will not come into contact with someone who has been exposed to COVID-19.

 

In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not enter Modern Tekniques Salon. By attending your appointment at Modern Tekniques Salon, you certify that you do not fall into any of the following categories:  

1. Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others;

2. Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or  

3. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment. 

DUTY TO SELF-MONITOR:

Clients and staff agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, contact Modern Tekniques Salon if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after being at the salon. 

CANCELLATIONS


Your appointments are very important to the Modern Tekniques team members and are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule changes are necessary;
therefore we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations

 

Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance via phone, text, or email.  Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving ample notice to fill that time, clients on our waiting list may miss the opportunity to receive services. Our cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our waiting list of any availability as well as keep our team member's schedules filled, thus serving everyone better.

 
 

Since our appointments are reserved for you, specifically, a cancellation fee will apply:
 

  • Less than 24 hours notice, may result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.  A "first time" cancellation will receive a warning; a fee will be enforced at second time cancellation and on.
     

  • If you miss 3 consecutive no-show appointments without contacting the salon, or make 3 consecutive cancellations with
    less than 24 hours notice, individual stylists or the salon reserve the right to refuse future appointments being booked.

     

  • Cancellation fees will be collected in full at your next appointment.

 

 

 

 

LATE POLICY:

Appointments are reserved with necessary time for each service. We understand that sometimes being late is unavoidable. However, tardiness can result in a major disruption in being able to serve you and other clients efficiently. We do ask that if you are running late to please notify us by phone. A 10 minute grace period is given on all appointments.
 

After 15 minutes, services may be forfeited, shortened, or rescheduled due to the stylist's availability.

 

Individual stylists and/or the salon as a whole reserves the right to turn down services to any client at any time.
