I’m so excited to be a new member of this team!
I have been doing hair for more than half of my life.
I decided I was going to be a hairdresser when I was 13 and I haven’t stopped since.
So here’s a little bit about me... I have a beautiful BIG blended family. When I met my husband I had a daughter (Audrey), he had a son (Zachary) and a daughter(Angelina).
When we decided we’d have ONE together, we were blessed with TWO (Sadie and Mark).
The twins are 9 months and they are so much fun!
We have two cats, Dot and Mowgli.
We’ve hopped around Monmouth County a bit, but two years ago we bought our home in Wall and decided this will be our forever town.
After the twins were born, I took a 5 month maternity leave.
It was hard to come back to work.
It was different than with my daughter because not everyone can handle watching two infants. I felt that I was in an impossible situation, to choose between my career and my babies. I was always putting myself second and my career makes me so happy!
I was only back to work three months when we were forced to close because of the pandemic. Words can’t express my horror at the lives lost to Covid-19.
One of my closest friends is a nurse working directly with Covid patients. She got it herself and while she’s okay, that was also horrifying... so I do not say this lightly: this time off was good for me.
I enjoyed home schooling and soaking up babies and family time. I had time to miss work and doing hair and now I’m refreshed and I’m ready. I’m finally comfortable leaving my babies for a few hours to do something that makes me so happy. I now understand that I can’t be who they need me to be without doing things that make me happy for me too. Doing hair is part of who I am, and who I have always been down to my core. I’m so ready to make people look and feel beautiful again.
This feels like a fresh start. I’m more inspired than ever and so ready to dive back into my passion and career. Change can feel scary, but I’m embracing it. New salon home, new salon family, new attitude & only great energy... I think there’s only positive things to come!
Thanks so much!
